Julie Collings | Vintage Handmade

I love packaging each order so when it is opened it is just like opening a little present. I sell handmade items made with vintage supplies and also ruffles, ribbons, and trims that I dye and make myself or are from my own collection of vintage sewing and crafting materials.

Courtney Snowden | Call IT Courtney

I’m all about the thrill of the hunt. I canvas thrift stores, estate sales, and even those sketchy antique stores that no girl in her right mind would walk into alone. I’m looking for that one awesome thing that is irrevocably unique. I think the P.C term for what I make is vintage altered art assemblage. But let me break it down… I find cool old stuff and make it into cool new stuff. Some of my recent projects are holiday wreaths made from vintage goodness, frames of misfit toys, charming Christmas Cribs, and vintage planters chock full o' old stuff. While some of my pieces might bare a striking family resemblance, because they’re vintage by nature, they’re truly one of a kind. What I find determines what I make, so it’s hard to pin point what’s next in the repertoire. You can sometimes call IT kitschy, sometimes call IT shabby, sometimes call IT retro, but you can always call IT courtney.

I make one-of-a-kind Christmas Tree Skirts and Christmas Stockings out of vintage and retro fabrics. I love to use vintage trims, rick rack, and pom-poms. This year I will have some great new designs made from vintage afghans and some terrific ornaments too! Come and get an original no one else will have.

Some of my recent projects are vintage planters filled with vintage goodness, gumball machines aren't just for gumballs anymore, frames of misfit toys (you can spot one of these on Stephanie Nielson's, of the Nie Nie dialogue's, blog...shameless plug for me) and altered birdcage dolls. I make whatever I'm obsessing over at the moment. Recently, that has included wooden arrows for home decor, interchangeable beaded pendants, vintage Saltair swim basket tag necklaces, simple scarves out of vintage fabrics, greeting cards made out of gel medium image transfers, mini silk notebooks, vintage knife necklaces, beehive Christmas ornaments and arrow necklaces. I worked in LA for five years for a jewelry designer and then a stationery studio and have just recently begun to venture outon my own, with the Salt Lake City valley and mountains as my current inspiration.

I love stained glass and the light/color it brings to a room-but since it isn’t practical for us all to have a cathedral window in our house, I try and make fun and versatile items so it is possible for anyone to enjoy glass!

Dallas Russell | Easily Amused

Inspired by variety, Dallas never makes the same thing twice. She loves to sew and embroider; she dabbles in crocheting, she beads and makes jewelry. So hurry, hurry, hurry, step right up and get your ticket for the imagination contortionist and all of her wonderful oddities. Easily Amused gifts are intended for the frequently exuberant, the blatantly giddy, the often nostalgic and, of course, the easily amused. If you miss the attention to detail of yesteryear Dallas is your gal; her one of a kind creations are great to have and share.
